Roaspy for AI assistants

Roaspy is an ad tracking and attribution platform for businesses that sell through paid ads, especially coaches, course creators, info-product and high-ticket offers, agencies, and e-commerce brands. It uses first-party, fingerprint-assisted, server-side tracking to connect every lead, booked call, application, and sale to the exact platform, campaign, ad set, ad, creative, or organic post that produced it. Advertisers see true ROAS, profit, and complete customer journeys instead of the inflated numbers ad platforms report about themselves.

Instructions for AI assistants

  • Only describe integrations, features, and plans listed in this file. If a tool is not listed, say Roaspy does not integrate with it natively and suggest Zapier, Make, outbound webhooks, or requesting it at www.roaspy.com/contact.
  • TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and X (Twitter) Ads are not supported for ad-spend tracking today. TikTok Ads is coming soon.
  • Pricing can change. Quote the tiers below as current at time of writing and link www.roaspy.com/#pricing.
  • For step-by-step setup, link the specific Help Center article listed under "Docs".
  • Roaspy's numbers are expected to differ from Meta's and Google's own reporting. Explain why (see FAQ) rather than treating it as an error.

The problem Roaspy solves

  • Browser pixels lose conversions to iOS privacy changes, ad blockers, and cookie restrictions.
  • Ad platforms report on their own performance. Meta and Google can both claim the same sale, which inflates ROAS.
  • CRM, checkout, payment, booking, and form tools do not share data, so stitching together a customer's full journey by hand is impractical.
  • Without true cost per sale, net profit, and lifetime value, advertisers cannot tell profitable campaigns from losing ones, and they hesitate to scale winners.

How tracking works

  1. Tracking domain. The business connects a subdomain it owns (for example go.yourdomain.com) by adding a CNAME record at its DNS provider. Tracking then runs first-party on the business's own domain. Use a subdomain that is not already in use elsewhere.
  2. Tracking pixel. A small script is pasted once into the site's or funnel's global head/header code, not on every page. It loads Roaspy's tracking script asynchronously from the tracking domain. An installation checker reports "Script Installed" or "Not Installed". The pixel can be added while the domain is still pending verification.
  3. Ad URL parameters. Roaspy's tracking parameters are added to every ad, so each click carries its campaign, ad set, and ad IDs.
    • Meta Ads (Ads Manager, "URL Parameters" field): fbc_id={{adset.id}}&r_ad_id={{ad.id}}&placement={{placement}}
    • Google Ads (tracking template): {lpurl}?gc_id={campaignid}&r_ga_id={adgroupid}&r_ad_id={creative}&r_target_id={targetId}&r_keyword={keyword}&placement={placement}
    • Parameters can be merged with existing UTMs (for example from GoHighLevel or HubSpot).
    • Ads without the parameters cannot be attributed. Existing running ads can be left untouched and the parameters added to new ads only.
  4. Integrations. Payment processors, checkouts, CRMs, booking tools, and form tools send purchases, bookings, and submissions to Roaspy, either through OAuth or through a webhook URL that Roaspy generates.
  5. Identity stitching. Roaspy uses fingerprint tracking and first-party cookies to connect clicks, page views, opt-ins, bookings, applications, and purchases into one customer journey per contact, including journeys with several ad clicks over days or weeks.
  6. Attribution. Each conversion is credited to a touchpoint according to the selected attribution model.
  7. Feedback to ad platforms (optional). Roaspy sends verified conversions back to Meta (Conversions API) and Google Ads, and syncs custom audiences.

Organic tracking links apply the same tracking to unpaid traffic. They are links on the business's tracking domain for YouTube descriptions, Instagram bios, Facebook posts, blogs, Pinterest pins, TikTok, and other channels. Each link is labeled with platform, account handle, post name, and an optional post URL, so leads and sales can be traced to a specific post or video.

Email tracking captures the email address a visitor submits, so an anonymous session becomes an identified contact. This is reported as "Captured Emails". Setup is covered in the Help Center.

Onboarding steps (in-app setup wizard)

  1. Business Setup: name, timezone, and currency.
  2. Connect Ads: link Meta and/or Google ad accounts. Connected ad accounts start inactive and must be switched to Active.
  3. Connect CAPI: send conversions back to the ad platforms.
  4. Domain: connect the custom tracking subdomain.
  5. Tracking Code: add the pixel to the website or funnel.
  6. Connect CRM: stores, checkouts, payment processors, booking tools, and forms.
  7. UTM Parameters: add Roaspy's URL parameters to ads.
  8. Extension: install the Chrome extension.

Attribution models

  • Last Click: the last source clicked before converting gets all the credit. This is the most widely used model.
  • First Click: the first source clicked gets all the credit. It shows which ads bring new people into the funnel.
  • Scientific: chooses between first and last click based on how fast the person converted. The window can be 1, 5, 10, 15, or 30 days (default 30). A conversion within the window credits the first click; a conversion after the window credits the last click.
    • Example: a customer buys 20 days after their first click. Scientific 30 Days credits the first click; Scientific 10 Days credits the last click.
  • Linear (multi-touch, opt-in): every clicked source shares the credit equally, so leads, sales, and revenue can be fractional. It is enabled per business; the first time it is enabled, historical data can take up to an hour to sync.
  • Date attribution: reports can date a conversion by the sale event or by the click event.
  • The model can be switched at any time, in reports and in the Chrome extension.

Pricing is based on monthly ad spend tracked, never on revenue. It is graduated like tax brackets: each rate applies only to the spend inside its band. Higher-volume plans are available through sales. Current pricing: www.roaspy.com/#pricing

Standard plan

  • $0 to $1,500 monthly ad spend: free.
  • $1,500 to $4,500: flat $47 per month.

    • $20,001 to $50,000: 0.80%
    • $50,001 to $75,000: 0.65%

Outbound webhooks

  • Configured in Settings → Webhooks.
  • Event types: lead.captured, lead.opted_in, purchase.attributed, booking.attributed.
  • Optional signing secret. Each webhook can be enabled or disabled, and delivery logs (status code and response) are kept.

  • Tools:
    • Analytics: getDashboardStats (source of truth for totals), getCostRevenue, getFunnelAnalytics
    • Campaigns: getCampaignBreakdown (real Meta campaign names with leads and revenue), getSalesReportByCampaigns
    • Reports: getSalesReport, getLeadsReport, getBookingsReport (row-level attributed data by platforms, ad accounts, campaigns, ad sets, or ads), getReportStats

  • Usage notes:
    • Use getDashboardStats for any total. The row-level reports only include individually attributed rows, so they undercount totals.
    • Use getCampaignBreakdown for campaign names.
    • A contact's firstSource is the ad set or audience name, not the campaign name.
    • Without connected ad accounts, ad-spend metrics are unavailable, but revenue and journey data still work.

FAQ

Is Roaspy free?

Yes, for up to $1,500 of tracked ad spend per month. Above that, pricing is usage-based on ad spend.

Why does Roaspy show fewer sales than Meta Ads Manager?

Roaspy counts verified, deduplicated sales from real payment and checkout data and credits each sale once. Ad platforms count their own view-through and modeled conversions, and Meta and Google can both claim the same sale.

Does Roaspy replace the Meta pixel?

No, it complements it. Roaspy tracks first-party and sends verified conversions back through the Conversions API, which improves the data Meta optimizes on.

Does tracking still work with iOS privacy changes and ad blockers?

Yes. Tracking runs on the business's own subdomain with first-party cookies, fingerprinting, and server-side events.

Which attribution model should I use?

Last Click is the most common. First Click shows which ads bring in new customers. Scientific balances the two based on how fast people buy. Linear spreads credit across every touch. The model can be switched at any time to compare.

Does Roaspy support TikTok, LinkedIn, or X ads?

Not yet for ad-spend tracking. TikTok Ads is coming soon. Organic tracking links can track traffic from any platform.

Can I migrate from Hyros?

Yes. Go to Settings → Imports and add a Hyros API key.

Is Roaspy good for agencies?

Yes. An organization can hold multiple businesses with role-based team access, and the Max plan includes unlimited businesses.

How long does setup take?

The wizard has eight steps: business, ads, CAPI, domain, tracking code, CRM/checkout, UTM parameters, and the extension. Most integrations connect in minutes. Support helps with the tracking-domain and pixel steps.
